Kohala
North Kohala is located at the north tip of the Island of Hawaii. Kohala is known for it's tropical trade winds, rainbows, and rural life style. Two neighboring villages, Hawi and Kapa'au, make up this small community.
The ancient Hawaiians had numerous fishing villages in Kohala, and it was the birth place of King Kamehameha the Great. More recently Kohala was an area of many sugar plantations.
